Soon after this he became are regular contributor for the The NME (New Musical Express) which lasted over ten years. His most well know image of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana taken before their seminal LP Nevermind came out became world famous when Cobain committed suicide in 1994 During this time Martyn would also start his own band Fabulous. After working for other publication such a The Guardian, Loaded and Rolling Stone, Goodacre would go into self imposed exile for fifteen years to live on the Island Koh Samui in southern Thailand. He now lives in Berlin and has returned to photography and playing music. His images from the nineties and early two thousands are still used regularly in publications, Tv and other formats world wide such as the cover for the latest Beastsie Boys Lp Music.
